Bio

My name is Lilla Mraz, a 34-year-old self-taught watercolor illustrator and ceramic artist from Etyek, Hungary.
Born into a family of creative personalities, I have developed a great interest for art early on.
Painting and ceramics are my main form of self-expression, though I’ve also been doing special projects
involving textile design and digital art.

I’ve had the opportunity to be featured in Róbert Winkler’s book "Nagyvárosi természetbúvár" with around 100 animal illustrations.
Other big project was illustrating a very special cookbook of my friend Gabriella Raffer. "Sütemények a zuhany alól" was challenging and taught me a lot. Food and jewelry illustration became one of my favourite theme to paint.

My interest in clay also started at a young age. It was always a part of my life, but I started to deal with it more actively in my twenties. I also joined an art association, of which my mother is also a member (who also became a ceramist), thanks to which I was able to show myself in several places. After a short break, I returned to clay in 2022 and we have been inseparable ever since.

“You must see with eyes unclouded by hate. See the good in that which is evil, and the evil in that which is good. Pledge yourself to neither side, but vow instead to preserve the balance that exists between the two.”
